Week 1 – The Salon Industry
The first module serves as an introduction to the salon industry and why it’s the right choice. We also cover proven methods for building your book and “the great consultation.” Plus, salon owners will discover how to keep stylists motivated and the basics of salon etiquette to make professionalism the new you.
Week 2 – Hair Chemistry & Anatomy
In week 2, we introduce applicable approaches to hair chemistry and anatomy to help stylists understand the canvas they are working on. We cover all of the practical science to help stylists speak eloquently about how eye color may effect the timing and results of hair color.
Week 3 – Client Agreements & Forms
Protecting your business and your staff is important. That’s why week 3 includes downloadable client agreements and consultation intake forms you can start using right away. Plus, find out how simple pre-service testing can save you time and money.
Week 4 – Let’s Talk Haircolor!
This module covers the color wheel in 3D and how to formulate based on chemistry – not guess work. How many times has a new stylist gone to 3 different senior stylists and gotten 3 different formulas? Why not equip them with their own foundation? This module covers why hair turns grey and how to adjust formulas for best results.
Week 5 – The 5 Haircolor Families
This module covers all 5 hair color families. They are all different and have a place in all of our daily work. Stylists will learn about direct dyes, demi, and deposit only, as well as permanent color, bleach, and toners. Stylists leave this lesson with a complete understanding of what to reach for in every situation.
Week 6 – Applications and Techniques
In this module we cover applications and techniques from retouching musts to filling, foiling, and balayage foundations. We provide tips for retail sales and support products to protect the work we’re doing. Plus, stylists will learn when to use color removers and the difference in types. The post color in salon procedures we teach will set you apart from everyone else.
Week 7 – Cutting Foundations
This module covers cutting foundations that stylists may not have learned in school including a one-length cutting technique to save time and promote the perfect perimeter. Long, medium and short layers are covered completely so no cut is intimidating to the stylist. We also go over texturizing tools and techniques for all hair types.
Week 8 – Chemical Restructuring
In week 8, we take an in-depth look at chemical restructuring from keratin to bond builders. Stylists will learn a fun approach to perming and relaxers, along with step by step application techniques so they know the right product to pick in the dispensary.
Week 9 – Bridal / Event Hair
How many times are you crossing your fingers when you hire a new stylist, praying they do updos? You have. It’s ok. I have too. That’s why I developed a building block approach to teaching even the most reluctant stylists or seasoned professionals to master the up style. You’ll also get bridal contracts so you’ll never be guessing about what you will charge or whether your bride takes you seriously. Love our brides!
Week 10 – Salon Business Basics
Our final module is the perfect tool for salon owners and stylists. We’ll teach stylists how to be responsible for their own growth and tracking, while providing owners with a tried and true form to help you fill in the blanks. We’ll help stylists understand that the owner doesn’t really get “half” of their earnings. Plus we’ll cover tips to help you both grow and prosper.

The stylists will get pumped as they pass each week’s quiz to pass on to the next. Owners will have peace of mind, along with a tracking system, to oversee their staff’s progress. A final diploma will be awarded in the stylist’s name, setting them apart so much that every stylist will want to go through the training. That helps all of us succeed.
